Blackhawks captain Jonathan Toews missed his fourth straight game because of concussion-like symptoms, sitting out Friday night against the Canadiens, according to an Associated Press report.
Toews hasn?t resumed skating after a crushing open-ice hit from Vancouver?s Willie Mitchell on Oct. 21. Toews is listed as day-to-day.

Avs Recall Dupuis From AHL; Place Hendricks On IR
The Avalanche announced today that the team has recalled forward Philippe Dupuis from the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.
Dupuis has recorded four points in nine games for Lake Erie.
In a related move, forward Matt Hendricks has been placed on the injured reserve list due to a groin injury.
The Avalanche also announced today that goaltender Tyler Weiman has been reassigned to Lake Erie.
Gaborik To Miss Game Against Islanders
Marian Gaborik was ruled out of the Rangers? game against the Islanders on Wednesday because of an undisclosed injury sustained earlier this week, according to an Associated Press report.
Gaborik, the NHL?s third-leading scorer with 18 points, was injured late in the third period Monday of the Rangers? 5-2 victory over Phoenix after he collided with a Coyotes player.
Canucks' Johnson Alert After Head-First Slide
Canucks center Ryan Johnson was carried off the ice and taken to a hospital after sliding head-first into the boards.
The incident took place in the second period of Vancouver's game against Detroit.
"We were told in between periods that he's going to be OK," Canucks center Ryan Kesler said after the game. "You hate to see a friend and a teammate go down like that. It really puts things in perspective. It's an extremely fast game out there. We're just glad he's going to be all right."
Vancouver coach Alain Vigneault said Johnson had X-rays and a CT scan.
"So far I think everything looks good," Vigneault said.
Flyers' Gagne Has Two Small Hernias
Flyers forward Simon Gagne has two small hernias in his right groin and could face surgery, according to an Associated Press report.
Asked before Philadelphia?s game at the Capitals on Tuesday whether an operation is likely, Flyers GM Paul Holmgren said: ?I can?t really say for sure. We need to sit down and talk with Simon. ? It is an option, yeah.?
Holmgren said his team?s medical staff will meet with Gagne on Wednesday to discuss his options.
Jackets Place Murray On IR
The Blue Jackets have placed center Andrew Murray on injured reserve retroactive to October 20, GM Scott Howson announced today. He is expected to miss at least four weeks.
Murray has registered one assist in six games this season.
Rangers' Gaborik Held Out Of Practice
Marian Gaborik was held out of practice Tuesday as the Rangers forward deals with an undisclosed injury he suffered after colliding with a player in the Monday's win over the Coyotes, according to an ESPN.com report.
Gaborik will be re-evaluated Wednesday and reiterated the injury was nothing major and "not related to any issues he's had in the past."

St. Louis Blues forward D.J. King will miss 8-10 weeks with a fracture and dislocation of his right hand, according to an Associated Press report on Monday.

New Jersey defenseman Paul Martin and left wing Jay Pandolfo will be sidelined four to six weeks after being injured in the Devils? game against the Penguins on Saturday, as reported by the Associated Press.
The Devils said on Monday that Martin has a broken left arm that will not require surgery. Pandolfo has a shoulder injury without being more specific, though team president and GM Lou Lamoriello seemed to indicate it had been dislocated when he was asked about a timetable for Pandolfo?s return.

The Colorado Avalanche announced today that the team has recalled forward Chris Durno from the Lake Erie Monsters of the AHL.
