Coyotes GM Don Maloney announced on Sunday that the Coyotes have recalled forwards Kevin Porter and Jeff Hoggan from their AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage. In addition, forward Daniel Winnik has been placed on Injured Reserve. Porter has appeared in two games with the Coyotes this season and currently leads San Antonio in scoring with 10-14-24 and 20 penalty minutes in 28 games. Hoggan has recorded 6-10-16 and 23 PIM in 31 games with San Antonio this season. Last season, the 6-foot-1, 193-pound Hoggan appeared in four games with the Coyotes and registered an assist. Winnik has recorded 2-10-12 and 10 PIM while appearing in each of the Coyotes? first 39 games this season and ranks 2nd on the team with a +10 rating.

The Blue Jackets have recalled forward Alexandre Picard from the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus? AHL affiliate, and placed defenseman Marc Methot on Injured Reserve, GM Scott Howson announced on Sunday. Methot is expected to miss at least one week. Picard has registered nine goals and 10 assists for 19 points and 72 penalty minutes in 27 games with Syracuse this season. He leads the club in goals and points (tied), while ranking third in penalty minutes. Methot has recorded 1-3-4 and 35 penalty minutes in 31 games with the Blue Jackets this season.

Kings right wing Justin Williams broke his right leg early in the first period in a loss to the Coyotes on Saturday night, as reported by the Associated Press.

The Los Angeles Kings have activated forwards Wayne Simmonds and Brandon Segal from the injured reserve list, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced Saturday. In addition, the Kings have placed forward Jarret Stoll on the injured reserve list (retroactive to Dec. 15). Stoll, 27, suffered a lower-body injury during the Kings-Canucks game Dec. 14 and has missed the last two games. The 6-1, 215-pound native of Melville, Saskatchewan has recorded 25 points (10-15=25) and 22 penalty minutes in 33 games this season.

The Kings have recalled defenseman Alec Martinez from the Manchester Monarchs of the AHL, Kings President/GM Dean Lombardi announced today. In addition, the Kings have placed forward Wayne Simmonds on the injured reserve list (retroactive to Dec. 11). Martinez has played in one game for the Kings this season ? his NHL debut on Oct. 3. He has also appeared in 13 games for the Monarchs this season, recoding six points, six penalty minutes and a plus-4 rating. Simmonds was placed on injured reserve with a lower-body injury. In 33 games with the Kings this season, the 6-2, 183-pound native of Scarborough, Ontario recorded 20 points.

The Wild have placed center Andrew Ebbett on injured reserve because of a concussion, as reported by ESPN.com on Monday. Ebbett was injured last week in Phoenix against the Coyotes. The Wild have been hit by a rash of concussions this season. Forwards Petr Sykora and Pierre-Marc Bouchard and defenseman Brent Burns are also missing time because of the injury.

The Blue Jackets have placed right wing Derek Dorsett on Injured Reserve retroactive to December 12, GM Scott Howson announced today. Dorsett was injured in this past Saturday?s game against Anaheim and is expected to be out four weeks. Dorsett has registered one goal and three assists for four points, 60 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in 18 games this season.

The Blue Jackets have activated left wing Fredrik Modin off IR and assigned center Derek MacKenzie to the Syracuse Crunch, Columbus? AHL affiliate, GM Scott Howson announced today. Modin was injured during a preseason game at Minnesota on September 18. Playing in his 13th season in the NHL. MacKenzie tallied 1-3-4 and was +4 in 16 games with the Blue Jackets this season. He leads the club in plus/minus rating. In 62 career NHL games with the Blue Jackets and Atlanta Thrashers, he has collected 3-5-8 and 30 penalty minutes.

The Blue Jackets have activated right wing Derek Dorsett off Injured Reserve, GM Scott Howson announced today. Dorsett was injured against Dallas on November 19. He has registered one goal and three assists for four points, 51 penalty minutes and a +2 plus/minus rating in 18 games this season. The Kindersley, Saskatchewan native tallied 4-1-5 and 150 penalty minutes in 52 games during his rookie season in 2008-09. He was the Blue Jackets? ninth pick, 189th overall, in the 2006 Entry Draft.

The Hurricanes have activated goaltender Cam Ward from their long-term injured list. Ward has missed the last 13 games after he was cut on the leg by a skate in a game at Columbus on Nov. 7. Ward is eligible to play at New Jersey on Wednesday.
