Frederick Gaudreau Signs Five-Year, $10.5M Deal With Wild

The Minnesota Wild and forward Frederick Gaudreau agreed to a five-year, $10.5 million contract through the 2027-28 season, the team announced Thursday night.

Gaudreau, 29, was set to become a free agent following the season.

The Minnesota Wild signed have signed Golden Gophers captain Brock Faber to a three-year entry-level contract, the team announced Sunday.

The Wild said the defenseman would join the team Sunday and travel to Chicago for Monday night's game against the Blackhawks.

Devils Sign Highly Rated Prospect Luke Hughes To Entry-Level Deal

Highly rated prospect Luke Hughes, who was the No. 4 pick of the 2021 NHL draft, signed his entry-level contract with the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.

The decision to sign the 19-year-old defenseman was widely expected after Devils general manager Tom Fitzgerald said after the trade deadline that Hughes would join the team once his season ended at Michigan. Hughes, a sophomore, helped Michigan reach a second consecutive Frozen Four appearance only to fall to Quinnipiac in the national semifinal on Thursday.
