The Vancouver Canucks signed general manager Patrik Allvin to a multiyear contract extension Wednesday.

The deal was announced by Canucks president of hockey operations Jim Rutherford. Terms were not disclosed.

Zach Parise is back. And this time it will be with the Colorado Avalanche as the club announced Friday the signing of the 39-year-old winger for the rest of the season.

Parise, who spent the past two years with the New York Islanders, has been without a club since the start of the season. He finished with 21 goals and 13 assists in 82 games in 2022-23, the 11th season of his career of 20 or more goals.

Forward Owen Tippett signed an eight-year contract extension with the Philadelphia Flyers on Friday, according to multiple reports.

Tippett, who was moved to injured reserve this week with a lower-body injury, is in the midst of what could be the best season of his young career. The 24-year-old winger is on pace to finish with his first 30-goal season and is projected to finish with 52 points.

The New Jersey Devils signed general manager Tom Fitzgerald to a multiyear contract extension Tuesday, also giving him the additional title of president of hockey operations.

The Devils have been one of the fastest-rising and most-improved teams in the NHL since Fitzgerald took over for Ray Shero on an interim basis in January 2020. Fitzgerald got the full-time GM job that summer and oversaw the draft selections of Luke Hughes, Dawson Mercer and Simon Nemec, among others.

Corey Perry is signing a one-year deal to finish the season with the Edmonton Oilers, sources told ESPN on Sunday.

The contract will include performance bonuses and be prorated to the league minimum, the sources said.

Perry, 38, had his contract terminated by the Chicago Blackhawks in November. 

The Washington Capitals have signed forward Aliaksei Protas to a five-year contract extension, ensuring he will further cement his place in the club's long-term plans.

The 23-year-old playmaker and the Capitals agreed on a pact Friday that will see Protas earn $3.375 million per year, for a total of $16.875 million, while remaining with the organization through the 2028-29 season.

Ottawa Senators forward Shane Pinto is prepared for a fresh start -- and he's got a new contract to go with it.

The club announced Friday a one-year, $775,000 deal for Pinto that kicks in right before he is eligible to return from a 41-game suspension for violating the NHL's sports wagering rules. Pinto can make his season debut Sunday in Philadelphia and will earn a prorated salary of just under $360,000 for the remainder of this season.

William Nylander isn't going anywhere.

The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Monday an eight-year, $92 million contract extension with their top-line winger. The deal, which includes a full no-movement clause for its duration, kicks in next season and will keep Nylander with the club through 2032. It also marks the richest total value contract Toronto has ever offered to a player.
