Chris Chelios is staying with the Chicago Wolves of the AHL, the team announced on Sunday.
The 47-year-old defenseman has signed a second tryout contract with the Thrashers affiliate after joining them on Oct. 20. The terms of the deal were not disclosed, according to an Associated Press report.

Coyotes Sign Anders Eriksson
Coyotes GM Don Maloney announced today that the the team has signed defenseman Anders Eriksson to a contract. As per Club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed. In addition, Eriksson has been recalled to the Coyotes.
Eriksson, 34, had been playing for the Coyotes? AHL affiliate, the San Antonio Rampage, where he recorded 1-2-3 in eight games. Eriksson has appeared in 552 career NHL games with the Red Wings, Blackhawks, Panthers, Maple Leafs, Blue Jackets and Flames, recording 22-149-171 and 240 penalty minutes (PIM) over parts of 11 NHL seasons. He was a member of the 1998 Stanley Cup Champion Red Wings and has registered six assists and 18 PIM in 36 career Stanley Cup Playoff games, including two games with Calgary during the 2009 Playoffs.
Coyotes Sign Michael Stone To Entry Level Deal
Coyotes GM Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed defenseman Michael Stone to an entry level contract. As per club policy, terms of the contract were not disclosed.
Stone, 19, is currently in his fourth season with the Calgary Hitmen of the WHL, where he has recorded 13-21-34 and 46 penalty minutes (PIM) in 32 games. The 6-foot-3, 205-pound Stone is tied for 1st in scoring among all WHL defensemen and ranks 3rd on his team in points.
Flyers Fire Stevens, Bring In Laviolette
The Flyers replaced coach John Stevens with Peter Laviolette on Friday after the team was shut out in consecutive games, according to an Associated Press report.
Laviolette led the Hurricanes to their only Stanley Cup title in 2006. He was fired in December 2008 and was still under contract.
Laviolette, who also coached the Islanders for two seasons, was 167-130-30 in his four-plus seasons with Carolina.
Flyers GM Paul Holmgren made the call to fire Stevens.
Boston's Savard Agrees To Seven-Year Deal
Bruins center Marc Savard has agreed to a seven-year contract extension worth $28.5 million, two sources told ESPN.com.
Boston general manager Peter Chiarelli announced the deal on Tuesday afternoon.
Savard will make $7 million for each of the first two seasons of the extension, $6.5 million the third season and $5 million the fourth season. His salary will then drop to $1.5 million for the 2014-15 season and $525,000 for each of the final two years of the deal.
