The Colorado Avalanche agreed to terms with forward Tomas Tatar on a one-year contract on Tuesday.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

"Tomas has been a consistent, productive player throughout his NHL career," Avalanche general manager Chris MacFarland said.

Defenseman Matt Dumba agreed Sunday to a one-year, $3.9 million contract with the Arizona Coyotes, according to multiple reports, joining a rebuilding team on a deal that could lead to greater riches down the line.

The Edmonton Oilers and forward Ryan McLeod agreed on a two-year contract extension with an average annual value of $2.1 million, the team announced on Tuesday night.

McLeod, 23, bounced around a few lines for Edmonton last season, playing in 57 games.

The Florida Panthers have agreed on a three-year contract extension for forward Eetu Luostarinen, which will put him under contract through the 2026-27 season.

Luostarinen, 24, had a breakout season in 2022, setting career highs in goals (17), assists (26) and points (43). 

Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov was awarded a one-year contract worth $3.55 million in an arbitration decision Sunday.

Samsonov was vying for $4.9 million at the arbitration hearing on Friday, while the Maple Leafs submitted at $2.4 million.

The Chicago Blackhawks and forward Philipp Kurashev have a two-year contract in place after going through salary arbitration.

The team announced the decision on Sunday. The deal carries a salary-cap hit of $2.25 million.

The Minnesota Wild reached a pre-arbitration agreement on Sunday with forward Brandon Duhaime.

He is signing a one-year, $1.1 million deal and will become an unrestricted free agent next summer.

Tanner Jeannot, a restricted free agent forward acquired last season in a trade with the Nashville Predators, signed a two-year contract with the Tampa Bay Lightning on Saturday.

The deal carries an average annual value of $2.665 million, Tampa Bay general manager Julien BriseBois announced in a statement, and assures the Lightning offense another rough-and-tumble winger who might see a spike in production now that he'll have a full season in coach Jon Cooper's system.

Needing a short-term solution, the New York Rangers found one Tuesday when they agreed to a two-year extension for defenseman K'Andre Miller.

The Rangers announced they signed Miller, 23, to a two-year contract carrying a $3.872 million AAV in each season. Finding a new deal for Miller was one of the offseason priorities as the top-four defenseman was a restricted free agent who was in need of a new deal.

The Alex DeBrincat saga reached its conclusion Sunday with the Ottawa Senators trading the two-time 40-goal scorer to the Detroit Red Wings.

In return, the Red Wings sent forward Dominik Kubalik, prospect defenseman Donovan Sebrango, a conditional first-round pick and a 2024 fourth-round pick to the Senators. Shortly after the Red Wings announced the trade, the team announced they signed DeBrincat to a four-year extension carrying a $7.875 million salary cap hit and a total of $31.5 million.
