Forward Andrei Kuzmenko signed a two-year contract extension with the Canucks on Thursday.

The deal has an average annual value of $5.5 million.

The 26-year-old Kuzmenko has played in 47 games for the Canucks this season with 21 goals and 22 assists, four penalty minutes and a plus-4 defensive ranking.

The NHL's Buffalo Sabres and Pegula Sports & Entertainment have hired John Roth as chief operating officer.

Co-owner Terry Pegula announced Roth's appointment Tuesday. Wife Kim Pegula remains president of the Sabres and the NFL's Buffalo Bills, while still recovering from what her family described as health issues that led to her being hospitalized in June.

Forward Matt Boldy has signed a seven-year, $49 million contract extension with the Minnesota Wild through the 2029-30 season, the team announced on Monday.

Boldy was in the last season of his entry-level contract.

According to sources, the annual average value of the contract is $800,000, which the Rangers feel gives them flexibility to shape their roster among uncertainty over next year's salary cap.

Tampa Bay Lightning rookie defenseman Nick Perbix signed a $2.25 million, two-year contract extension on Monday.

Perbix, 24, has three goals, five assists and is plus-8 in 29 games this season. He is tied for second in goals among Lightning defensemen and is fourth in scoring,

The Dallas Stars have signed 38-year-old center Joe Pavelski to a one-year contract extension through the 2023-24 season.

The contract is worth a base salary of $3.5 million and includes $2 million in potential performance bonuses.
