Coyotes Sign David Schlemko To Two-Year Deal

Coyotes GM Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have signed defensemen David Schlemko to a two-year contract.  

“We are very pleased to sign David to a multi-year contract," said Maloney. "David is a skilled defenseman and has developed into a reliable player for us. In today's game where skating, mobility and puck movement are so important for defensemen, David's talent makes us a better team."

Schlemko has recorded 0-2-2 in nine games with the Coyotes this season. He ranks second on the team with 26 blocked shots.

Ducks Welcome Burke Back As Pro Scout

The Ducks announced today that the club has named Brian Burke to a part-time professional scouting position within the organization.
 
“We are happy to welcome Brian back to the organization,” said Ducks Executive Vice President/GM Bob Murray. “Anytime you can add a person of his quality to your staff, it makes your organization better. We’ve had success working together before and look forward to doing it again.”

Fasth Signs Two-Year Extension With Ducks

The Ducks announced today that the club has signed goaltender Viktor Fasth to a two-year contract extension through the 2014-15 NHL season. 
 
“Viktor has proven himself not only this year in the NHL, but the previous two seasons as the top goaltender in Sweden,” said Ducks Executive Vice President/GM Bob Murray. “We are pleased to be able to keep him and feel fortunate to have two top NHL goaltenders going forward.”
