76ers owner Josh Harris is the new owner of the Devils, according to an ESPN.com report.

Harris and his group paid $320M to Jeff Vanderbeek for the rights to the Devils and the lease to the Prudential Center.

The deal was announced Thursday morning after the attorneys for the two sides took about 15 extra minutes to sign off on the transfer.

Josh Harris, the owner of the NBA's 76'ers, will add the NHL's Devils and the lease to their arena to his portfolio Thursday, a source confirmed to ESPN.com's Scott Burnside.

Harris and his group will pay more than $320M to purchase the cash-strapped franchise, The Record of New Jersey reported Wednesday night.

Whitey Bulger, according to a Boston Globe report, waived his right for a jury's decision on whether he could keep the cash, guns and other personal possessions after guilty verdicts that were handed down Monday.

But Bulger, 83, will apparently put up a fight for a 1986 Montreal Canadiens Stanley Cup ring, according to a court filing.

Penguins star Sidney Crosby walked into a Pittsburgh area DMV on Friday to renew his driver's license, and became the beneficiary of a Pennsylvania DMV policy.

The policy states that celebrities can be ushered to the front of the line if supervisors determine it would help in "keeping control and keeping disruptions to a minimum," a spokeswoman for the DMV told the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, according to an ESPN.com report.

Shawn Burr, who played 16 years in the NHL, mostly with the Red Wings, died Monday, according to an ESPN.com report. He was 47.

Dave Goetze, a friend of Burr's, says Burr was making progress in a fight against leukemia, but he died from brain trauma after a fall at his Detroit-area home. 

IceArizona completed its purchase of the Phoenix Coyotes from the NHL on Monday and received approval from the league's Board of Governors, ending a four-year ownership saga, according to an ESPN.com report.
