The Bruins have postponed their game scheduled for Friday night with the Boston area still the scene of a massive manhunt for a suspect in the Boston Marathon bombings.

The Penguins were in town to play the Bruins at TD Garden, according to an ESPN.com report.

The Bruins and Penguins have canceled their morning skates because of the manhunt for a suspect in the Boston bombings.

Spokesman Matt Chmura said the team has no announcement yet on whether it will proceed with Friday night's game at TD Garden.

The Red Sox also are on hold for their night game against the Royals at Fenway Park.
