Ducks forward Jarkko Ruutu has been suspended for one game for delivering a late hit to Predators forward Martin Erat in Game Four of their Western Conference quarterfinal last night, the NHL announced today.
The incident occurred 4:00 into the second period and Ruutu was assessed a minor penalty for interference on the play.
Ruutu’s suspension will be served tomorrow night (April 22) when the Ducks host the Predators in Game Five of the series.

Downie, Kunitz Handed One-Game Bans
Tampa Bay's Steve Downie and Pittsburgh's Chris Kunitz each received one-game suspensions for separate hits in Monday's Game 3 of their Eastern Conference quarterfinals series.
The league made the announcement Tuesday. Downie and Kunitz will serve their suspensions Wednesday when the Penguins play at the Lightning in Game 4.

The NHL has suspended Kings center Jarret Stoll one game for his hit on Sharks defenseman Ian White Thursday night, a source tells ESPN.com's Pierre LeBrun.
Stoll had a 2 p.m. ET phone hearing Friday with the NHL as a result of the hit, according to a source.
NHL Suspends Raffi Torres 4 Games
Canucks forward Raffi Torres has been suspended four games for a hit to the head of Oilers rookie Jordan Eberle, according to an ESPN.com report.
Canucks GM Mike Gillis confirmed the suspension Thursday.
That means Torres will miss the Canucks' final two games of the regular season, plus the first two games of the NHL playoffs.
NHL Suspends Hejda Two Games
Blue Jackets defenseman Jan Hejda has been suspended for two games and will forfeit $21,505.38 for delivering an elbow to the head of Blackhawks forward Marcus Kruger in NHL game #1161, the NHL announced today.
Hejda will miss the Blue Jackets' next two games, April 3 against St. Louis and April 5 at Dallas. He is eligible to return April 8 at Nashville.
T.J. Oshie Apologizes For Missing Practice
T.J. Oshie ended a two-game suspension Thursday, apologizing to his Blues teammates, the organization and its fans for missing a practice, according to an ESPN.com report.
Oshie was back on the ice at the team's practice facility after being disciplined by the team for missing a workout Monday in what the Blues called an unexcused absence.
"I was irresponsible. I made a mistake," Oshie said in his first public comments. "I realize that. It was my full responsibility to get here [on Monday] and get here on time."
