Tampa Bay Lightning forward Alex Killorn will be suspended for Friday's Game 3 of the Eastern Conference Final for boarding New York Islanders forward Brock Nelson on Wednesday.

The NHL's Department of Player Safety announced the suspension Thursday after holding a hearing with Killorn.

NHL Suspends Matt Niskanen For Game 6

Philadelphia Flyers defenseman Matt Niskanen is suspended for Game 6 of their NHL playoff series against Montreal for breaking the jaw of Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher with a crosscheck, the NHL Department of Player Safety announced Thursday.

The Canadiens said Gallagher required surgery and will not return to the series. Game 6 is scheduled for Friday night in Toronto.

Chicago Blackhawks forward Drake Caggiula received a one-game suspension for his check to the head of Edmonton's Tyler Ennis on Saturday.

The 12th-seeded Blackhawks defeated the fifth-seeded Oilers 6-4 in Game 1 of their best-of-five qualification-round series. Game 2 is Monday in Edmonton.

NHL Suspends Evander Kane Three Games For Abusing Official

San Jose Sharks forward Evander Kane was suspended three games by the NHL on Tuesday for physical abuse of officials, stemming from an incident in a preseason game against the Vegas Golden Knights on Sunday.

The suspension was automatic per NHL rules, but can be appealed to NHL commissioner Gary Bettman. Kane will forfeit $112,903.23 in salary if he serves the ban.

NHL Suspends Evgeny Kuznetsov Three Games For Inappropriate Conduct

Capitals forward Evgeny Kuznetsov has been suspended three games for inappropriate conduct, the NHL announced Saturday.

Kuznetsov tested positive for cocaine at the 2019 IIHF World Championship on May 26. He will not appeal the suspension.

"I am once again sorry that I have disappointed my family, my teammates, and the Capitals organization and fans," Kuznetsov said in a statement.

IIHF Suspends Evgeny Kuznetsov Four Years For Cocaine

The International Ice Hockey Federation suspended Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov from international play for four years after he tested positive for cocaine at the 2019 IIHF World Championship on May 26.

The IIHF announced the suspension on Friday and said Kuznetsov "didn't require the analysis of his B-sample and was provisionally suspended on 13th June 2019." He will be eligible to return on June 12, 2023.
