Blackhawks forward Dan Carcillo didn't play in Saturday's home game against the Blue Jackets after receiving a two-game suspension for a hit on Hurricanes defenseman Joni Pitkanen in Friday's loss in Carolina.
Carcillo will also sit out Monday's contest against the Predators.

Kris Letang Suspended Two Games
Penguins defenseman Kris Letang has been suspended for two games by the NHL for boarding Jets forward Alex Burmistrov.
Letang's ban was handed out Tuesday, just hours before the Penguins beat the Wild. The defenseman also will miss Thursday's home game against Montreal and be eligible to play on Saturday when the Penguins face New Jersey.
"It's always questionable," Letang said. "The league is trying to avoid those hits. I think I just need to be a little bit more careful on the boards and learn from that."
Bouchard's Two-Game Suspension Upheld
Wild forward Pierre-Marc Bouchard's two-game suspension has been upheld by NHL commissioner Gary Bettman, according to sources.
Bouchard was suspended for two games without pay by the NHL on Sunday for high-sticking Columbus' Matt Calvert in the face Saturday night.
The suspension will cost Bouchard $44,108.

Toronto's Clarke MacArthur Suspended
Maple Leafs forward Clarke MacArthur was suspended Saturday for the rest of the preseason and two regular-season games for hitting Detroit's Justin Abdelkader in the head.
MacArthur forfeits $35,135 in salary and is eligible to return to Toronto's lineup Oct. 15 against Calgary.
The Maple Leafs have just one preseason game left, against the Red Wings Saturday in Toronto.
