The NHL Players? Association?s executive board voted unanimously not to re-open the collective bargaining agreement at the end of the current season, the Toronto Star reported Friday.

The Continental Hockey League has suspended four officials as they continue to investigate the death of Rangers prospect Alexei Cherepanov, according to a Yahoo.com report on Friday The CHL levied suspensions on Avangard?s president, general manager and one of its team doctors indefinitely. Vityaz?s president also was suspended.

Daryl K. (Doc) Seaman, the co-owner of the Calgary Flames and part of the original group that brought the team from Atlanta, died Sunday. He was 86. The Flames confirmed Seaman?s death but didn?t give the cause of death, according to an Associated Press report.
