Paul Martin To Miss Four To Six Weeks

Penguins defenseman Paul Martin will miss four to six weeks after breaking his leg in an overtime loss to the Bruins on Monday, according to an ESPN.com report.

Martin's injury could affect his chances of making Team USA ahead of the 2014 Sochi Olympics.

Zach Parise Out 2-3 Weeks

Zach Parise will miss two to three weeks with a foot contusion, the team announced Tuesday.

Parise, who leads the Wild with 22 points (11 goals, 11 assists), left Monday's 3-0 loss at St. Louis with a bruised left foot after blocking a shot by the Blues' Alexander Steen in the first period.

Ducks Lose Sbisa, Fasth For Several Weeks

Ducks defenseman Luca Sbisa will be out at least six weeks with a torn tendon in his right hand.

The team also announced Saturday that goalie Viktor Fasth will miss another 3-4 weeks with muscle inflammation in his lower body.

Sbisa and Fasth went on the injured list, and Anaheim recalled goalie Frederik Andersen and defenseman Nolan Yonkman from Norfolk of the AHL.

Jonathan Quick To Miss Another Month

Goaltender Jonathan Quick will be out "at least" another month, Kings GM Dean Lombardi confirmed to ESPN.com via email Wednesday.

Quick was injured Nov. 12 late in a game at Buffalo, suffering a groin strain.

Jackets Place Marian Gaborik On IR

The Blue Jackets have placed forward Marian Gaborik on Injured Reserve, club GM Jarmo Kekalainen announced on Friday night.  Gaborik is expected to be sidelined four to six weeks due to a sprained knee suffered in Thursday’s game at Boston.  The Blue Jackets have also reassigned forward Sean Collins to the Springfield Falcons of the AHL. 

Gaborik has tallied five goals and six assists for 11 points with six penalty minutes in 17 games this season.

Stamkos Upbeat After Surgery

Lightning center Steven Stamkos underwent what the team called "successful surgery" Tuesday in Boston to stabilize a fracture in his right tibia.

Stamkos is expected to return to Tampa on Thursday to begin rehabilitation. A timetable has not yet been set for his return.

Lightning center Steven Stamkos is out after suffering a broken tibia in his right leg Monday against the Bruins, according to an ESPN.com report.

The Lightning confirmed the injury on their official Twitter account, just hours after Stamkos was taken off the ice on a stretcher.

Predators goaltender Pekka Rinne has an E. coli infection in his hip, a source confirmed to ESPN.com on Tuesday.

Reports surfaced that the infection would keep Rinne out longer than the four weeks doctors said he would miss after having hip surgery at the end of October.
