The Wild say Parise was injured during a 4-0 win over Buffalo on Thursday.
Parise got his 300th career goal last Sunday. He missed last season's playoffs because of a back injury.
David Backes will miss at least the Boston Bruins' next two games after undergoing a minor procedure on his arm.
"David Backes underwent the removal of the olecranon bursa from his elbow on Monday, Oct. 24. His condition will be updated after the weekend," general manager Don Sweeney said in a statement released by the team.
The bursa is a liquid filled sac that provides cushion against the pointy bone in the elbow.
Anton Khudobin is expected to miss approximately three weeks with an upper-body injury.
Khudobin, 30, is 0-2-0 with a 4.10 goals-against average and .849 save percentage this season.
On Tuesday, the Bruins recalled goaltender Zane McIntyre on an emergency basis from Providence to back up Khudobin.

The Los Angeles Kings placed Jonathan Quick on injured reserve Thursday after the goalie got hurt in the first period of their season opener.
Quick incurred an unspecified lower-body injury during Los Angeles' opener at San Jose while making a fairly ordinary stretch to stop a scoring chance by Joe Pavelski. Quick was replaced by new backup Jeff Zatkoff for the final two periods of the Kings' 2-1 loss.
The club described Quick's absence as "week-to-week."
A head injury has once again sidelined hockey's best player. The Penguins announced that captain Sidney Crosby has been diagnosed with a concussion, and there is no timetable for his return.
Coach Mike Sullivan said that Crosby suffered the injury on Friday in practice.
"He came to the rink on Saturday not feeling well, and we went from there," Sullivan said.
The Los Angeles Kings have placed right wing Marian Gaborik on injured reserve with a broken right foot.
