New Jersey defenseman Mark Fayne had surgery to repair a ligament in his wrist last week, and will be out up to four months, according to an ESPN.com report.

As the Blackhawks prepare for the draft this weekend there are positive signs regarding some of their walking wounded. Forward Marian Hossa is getting better as is defenseman Steve Montador, according to GM Stan Bowman. Both were unable to finish the season because of head injuries.
