The Chicago Blackhawks are shutting down defensemen Calvin de Haan and Brent Seabrook for the season with both set to undergo surgery on Friday, the team announced Thursday.

The Chicago Blackhawks concluded their investigation of abuse allegations against suspended assistant coach Marc Crawford, and the team announced Monday that he will resume assistant coaching duties on Jan. 2.
The Blackhawks said in a statement that they believe Crawford has taken steps to deal with his behavior and has learned from his past actions. They also noted that there have been no reported incidents during Crawford's tenure with the team.
Arizona Coyotes President of Hockey Operations and General Manager John Chayka announced today that the Coyotes have acquired forwards Taylor Hall and Blake Speers from the New Jersey Devils in exchange for Arizona's 2020 first round draft choice (conditional), Arizona's 2021 third round draft choice (conditional), forwards Nick Merkley and Nate Schnarr and defenseman Kevin Bahl.
