The new labor agreement between the NHL and the league?s officials is in effect, according to an Associated Press report. The league?s board of governors and the NHL Officials? Association ratified the four-year pact Wednesday that was agreed to Oct. 4. The deal will run through the 2013-14 season.

Stars center Mike Ribeiro was arrested Sunday on a charge of public intoxication in Plano, Texas. Ribeiro was released early Monday morning. "It's my personal life, and I'd like to keep it like that," Ribeiro said. "It's not a good situation, and I want to keep it personal right now and concentrate on hockey." Ribeiro and three others were arrested after an altercation between patrons at RA Sushi Bar Restaurant.
