Bruins Sign Kevan Miller To Four-Year Extension

The Bruins have signed defenseman Kevan Miller to a four-year contract extension.

Boston general manager Don Sweeney announced the moves Tuesday. Miller's extension will run through the 2019-20 season and have a cap figure of $2.5 million per year. He entered the offseason as an unrestricted free agent.

Senators Name Guy Boucher Head Coach

The Senators have hired Guy Boucher as their new coach on a three-year contract, the team announced Sunday.

"We wanted a great coach and this process yielded our top pick. I couldn't be happier," Senators owner Eugene Melnyk said in a statement.

The 44-year-old Boucher becomes the 12th head coach in Senators franchise history, replacing Dave Cameron, who was fired on April 12.

Wild Hire Bruce Boudreau As Head Coach

Once again, Bruce Boudreau wasn't out of work for long.

Boudreau, who was fired as head coach of the Ducks on April 29, two days after the Ducks' Game 7 loss at home to the Predators, was hired Saturday night to be Minnesota's new head coach, GM Chuck Fletcher announced Saturday.

Boudreau will be introduced Tuesday at a news conference, the team said.

Jaromir Jagr Re-Signs With Panthers

Veteran forward Jaromir Jagr, fresh off a 27-goal season at age 44, has signed a one-year contract with the Panthers, the team announced Thursday.

Terms were not disclosed.

"Jaromir is a Hall of Fame player and had an excellent season playing alongside Aleksander Barkov and Jonathan Huberdeau," GM Dale Tallon said. "His track record speaks for itself, ranking third all time in points and goals. He has been a great fit with our organization and we are excited to have him back for next season."

Leafs Sign Nikita Zaltsev To One-Year Deal

The Maple Leafs announced Monday that the club has signed defenceman Nikita Zaitsev to a one-year entry level contract.

Zaitsev, 24, collected 26 points (eight goals, 18 assists) and 20 penalty minutes in 46 regular season games with CSKA Moscow of the KHL this past season, before adding 13 points (four goals, nine assists) in 20 playoff games. His 13 points in the post-season were tied for the most among KHL defenceman. Zaitsev was twice selected to play in the KHL All-Star Game and was named a KHL first-team all-star in 2014-15. The Moscow, Russia native collected 95 points (32 goals, 63 assists) and 156 penalty minutes in 317 career regular season games in the KHL. Zaitsev also registered 24 career KHL playoff points (seven goals, 17 assists) in 51 games.

Zaitsev will participate in the 2016 IIHF World Championships with Team Russia.
