The Vancouver Canucks have signed defenseman Ben Hutton to a two-year, $5.6 million contract extension, the team announced Thursday.

The stalemate between the Winnipeg Jets and Jacob Trouba has ended. The team announced that the 2012 first-round pick has signed a two-year deal, worth a total of $6 million.

The contract is worth $2.5 million in year one and $3.5 million in the second year.
