Ducks Sign Josh Manson To Entry-Level Deal

The Ducks announced today that the club has signed defenseman Josh Manson to a two-year entry-level contract. 

Manson, 22, played three seasons for Northeastern University (Hockey East) from 2011-14, recording 6-15=21 points with 158 penalty minutes (PIM) in 99 career games. Selected in the sixth round (160th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft, Manson was recently named a 2013-14 Hockey East Second Team All-Star and the Best Defensive Defenseman.
 
A native of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Manson scored 71 points with 155 PIM in 111 career games with Salmon Arm of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL) before attending Northeastern.

Leafs Sign Eric Knodel To Entry Deal

David Nonis, Senior Vice President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Tuesday the club has signed defenceman Eric Knodel to a one-year entry level contract that will commence at the start of the 2014-15 season. Knodel has also signed a professional tryout agreement for the remainder of the 2013-14 season with the Marlies of the AHL.

Knodel, 23, registered 28 points (7 goals, 21 assists) with 28 penalty minutes and a +16 rating in 41 games in the NCAA (Hockey East) as captain of the New Hampshire Wildcats this season. 

A native of West Chester, Pennsylvania, Knodel was selected by Toronto in the fifth round, 128th overall, in the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

Hurricanes Sign Faulk To Six-Year Extension

The Hurricanes have signed defenseman Justin Faulk to a six-year contract extension worth $29M, according to an ESPN.com report on Monday.

Faulk turned 22 last week and is in his third season in the NHL.

Ducks Sign Tim Jackman To Extension

The Ducks announced today that the club has signed right wing Tim Jackman to a one-year contract extension through the 2014-15 season. 
 
Jackman, 32, has appeared in 20 games since being acquired by the Ducks, posting 2 points with 48 penalty minutes. Acquired from the Flames in exchange for a sixth-round selection in the 2014 NHL Entry Draft on Nov. 21, 2013, 

Selected by Columbus in the second round (38th overall) of the 2001 NHL Entry Draft, Jackman scored 5 points with 76 PIM in 42 games with Calgary last season.
