Kyle Turris Signs Five-Year Deal With Senators

Senators GM Bryan Murray announced Wednesday that the club has signed Kyle Turris to a five-year contract extension through the 2017-18 NHL season.

Turris, 23, recently completed his third full season in the NHL and played 49 of his 55 regular season contests in 2011-12 as a member of the Senators. 

Turris established new career highs in goals (12), assists (17), points (29) and penalty minutes (27) this past season.

Eddie Lack Re-Signs With Canucks

Eddie Lack has re-signed with the Canucks, the team announced Monday, according to an NHL.com report.

TSN's Darren Dreger reports it is a two-year deal worth $650,000 at the NHL level and $85,000 at the AHL level the first year, then $850,000 at the NHL level.

Lack, 24, played for the Chicago Wolves in the AHL last season.

The Senators announced Thursday that the club has signed defenseman Cody Ceci to a three-year, entry-level contract, according to an NHL.com report.

Ceci, 18, was the Senators' first-round pick (No. 15) in the 2012 NHL Draft. An Ottawa native, Ceci has spent all of his major-junior career with the OHL's Ottawa 67's, for whom he scored 17 goals and added 43 assists in 64 games last season.

Veteran Antero Niittymaki has signed a one-year contract with TPS Turku in his native Finland. The deal marks a return to the organization where the goaltender began his career and enjoyed considerable success before departing for North America.

"It feels good to come back to TPS," he said in a statement released by the team. "The club made it possible to put this in place over the summer, and we came to terms very quickly on the contract."

Predators Sign Mike Fisher To Two-Year Deal

The Predators have signed Mike Fisher to a two-year, $8.4 million contract that will pay him $4.2 million in both 2013-14 and 2014-15.

Fisher, 32, ranked second on the Predators in goals (24) and third in points (51) in 2011-12, in addition to ranking 11th in the NHL in game-winning goals (7).

Scott Hannan Signs One-Year Deal With Predators

Predators President of Hockey Operations/GM David Poile announced today that the club has signed defenseman Scott Hannan to a one-year, $1M contract.

Hannan, 33, has amassed 197 points and 522 penalty minutes in 908 regular-season games and 15 points and 89 penalty minutes in 82 playoff games with San Jose, Colorado, Washington and Calgary since the 1998-99 season.

The blueliner enters the 2012-13 season having played more games than any NHL defenseman in the last 10 seasons (798). Hannan averaged more than 20 minutes of ice time for the ninth time in the last 10 seasons (20:21) with the Calgary Flames a season ago.
