Blues goalie Jaroslav Halak has signed with Lausitzer of the German league, his agent Allan Walsh announced on Wednesday.

Walsh also confirmed the news to ESPN.com, adding that he believes Halak could play as soon as Friday.

The Muskegon Lumberjacks of the USHL on Wednesday named former NHL goalie Manny Legace as the team's new goalie coach.

Legace, whose career spanned 11 NHL seasons with the Red Wings, Blues, Kings, and Hurricanes, won a Stanley Cup with the Red Wings in 2001-02.

Ryane Clowe became the latest locked-out player to seek refuge in the ECHL after signing a deal Tuesday to play with the San Francisco Bulls.

The Sharks forward wanted to use the next few days to determine if he was ready for action. If he does not play, Clowe could serve as an assistant on the San Francisco bench.

"We're excited to have a player of Ryane's caliber join the team," Bulls GM and coach Pat Curcio said in a statement. "We look forward to having him around the locker room, as he gets back into game shape. The rest of the players on the team will have a chance to learn from his work ethic."

Kings forward Dustin Brown has become the latest high-profile player headed to Switzerland during the NHL lockout.

Brown has signed a deal with reigning Swiss league victors ZSC Lions, his agent, Scott Norton, confirmed to ESPN.com.
