Former Ducks Player Nicolas Kerdiles Dies In Motorcycle Crash

Former NHL player Nicolas Kerdiles died Saturday after a motorcycle crash in Nashville, according to police. He was 29.

The former Anaheim Ducks forward drove his motorcycle through a stop sign early Saturday and hit the driver's side of an SUV, according to the Metro Nashville Police Department. The SUV's driver immediately stopped, and there were no signs of impairment in either driver, police said.

Kerdiles died at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Police don't anticipate any charges in the crash.

Columbus Blue Jackets coach Mike Babcock and captain Boone Jenner are denying allegations that Babcock acted inappropriately and violated players' privacy when asking to see photos on their cellphones.

Former NHL player Paul Bissonnette said on Tuesday's edition of the "Spittin' Chiclets" podcast that Jenner was asked to meet earlier this summer with Babcock, who asked to see images on Jenner's camera roll before displaying them via AirPlay on his office wall.

Domestic violence charges have been dropped against Arizona Coyotes minority owner Andrew Barroway, who had been arrested after a dispute with his wife in Colorado last spring.

Barroway issued a statement Tuesday saying the district attorney's office in Pitkin County, Colorado, had decided to dismiss the case against him.

Former NHL All-Star Brad Maxwell Dies At Age 66

Brad Maxwell, who spent parts of nine seasons of a 10-year NHL career as a defenseman for the Minnesota North Stars, died Sunday due to lung cancer that had spread through his body. He was 66.

Maxwell was Minnesota's No. 7 overall pick of the 1977 NHL draft and played for the franchise from 1977 to 1984 and 17 games of the 1986-87 season.
