The NHL has suspended Flames center Olli Jokinen three games for his cross-check to the head of Coyotes forward Wojtek Wolski, according to an Associated Press report.
Jokinen received a five-minute major and game misconduct for Wednesday night's incident.

Lightning forward Mattias Ritola has been suspended two games without pay for hitting Matt Moulson of the Islanders from behind, as reported by ESPN.com.
The league announced the suspension Thursday. Ritola will forfeit $5,555.92 in salary to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
Thornton Suspended 2-Games
Joe Thornton of the Sharks was suspended two games by the NHL on Friday for his hit to the head of Blues center David Perron, according to an ESPN.com report.
Thornton will miss the Sharks' games against the Lightning on Saturday and Ducks on Tuesday and is eligible to return Thursday against the Islanders. He will forfeit $77,419.36 in salary, with the money going to the Players' Emergency Assistance Fund.
Thornton said he was surprised at the two-game suspension.
