Canadian Minor-League Player Sentenced For Actions On Flight

The lawyer for a minor-league hockey player says his client has been sentenced to one year and one day of prison for slapping a flight attendant, head-butting a passenger, and exposing himself on an American Airlines flight from Toronto to Dallas, as reported by the Associated Press on Monday. David Cornacchia of Toronto plays for the minor-league team Florida Everblades based in Fort Myers. Michael Francis Hornung says the sentence also includes supervised release for three years, including substance abuse and anger management programs, plus a fine.

A Michigan bank is suing veteran Sergei Fedorov, saying payments have stopped on more than $2M in loans, according to an Associated Press report on Thursday. Citizens State Bank filed a lawsuit against Fedorov, a former star with the Red Wings who now plays for the Capitals.
