Simon Set To Return To Islanders

With his record 30-game suspension nearing an end, Islanders left wing Chris Simon has rejoined the team. According to TSN of Canada, Simon skated in practice with the Islanders on Wednesday and will travel with the team to Toronto for Thursday?s game against the Maple Leafs.

Tocchet Rejoins Coyotes' Staff After Legal Issues

The Associated Press is reporting that Rick Tocchet is rejoining the staff of Coyotes after an absence of two years while he dealt with legal issues surrounding his involvement with illegal gambling. The time away was a combination of a leave of absence and a suspension by Commissioner Gary Bettman. Tocchet returns to his former job of associate head coach.

ESPN.com reports that Maple Leafs' forward Nik Antropov has been suspended for three games for throwing his stick in the direction of the referees when he left the penalty box after the Hurricanes won Thursday night, 3-2, in overtime.
