Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis has a blood clot in one of his lungs and is expected to miss at least six months, the team announced Wednesday.

The clot was discovered Monday after the 35-year-old complained of "discomfort in his chest," according to a news release issued by the team.

Blackhawks rookie defenseman Trevor van Riemsdyk is expected to miss two to three months with a lower-body injury, according to a source.

Forward Dany Heatley has been placed on injured reserve by the Ducks, according to an ESPN.com report.

The Ducks didn't specify Heatley's injury when they made the move Friday. But the forward has said he is struggling with a groin injury. He missed the start of the regular season and has played just four scoreless games with the Ducks, who signed him as a free agent in the summer.

Alec Martinez has undergone finger surgery, leaving the Stanley Cup champion Kings short of healthy defensemen again.

GM Dean Lombardi told the team's official website that playoff hero Martinez had surgery Friday.

Flyers defenseman Luke Schenn will miss approximately two weeks with an upper-body injury, the team announced Sunday.

Schenn was injured Saturday when he was hit into the end boards by Avs center Nathan MacKinnon in the first period. 

Ryan McDonagh has a separated shoulder again, according to an ESPN.com report. 

The Rangers captain, who missed the final five regular-season games in April when his left shoulder was separated, hurt the same shoulder when he was hit by Evander Kane of the Jets in the first period of Saturday night's loss at Madison Square Garden

The Blackhawks' goaltending situation has returned to normal, with Corey Crawford returning Saturday from a six-game injury absence and Antti Raanta back in his usual backup role.

The only issue now for Crawford is to approach Saturday's game against the Maple Leafs as a "normal" night at the rink.

The Maple Leafs will be without left wing Joffrey Lupul who broke a bone in his right hand in a fall at practice Thursday.

The team announced the injury shortly before the start of Friday night's game at Columbus.

Lupul, who has two goals and an assist in nine games this season, is out indefinitely, according to a post on the team's Twitter account.
