Wolski Signs Two-Year Deal With Phoenix
Coyotes GM Don Maloney announced today that the Coyotes have re-signed left wing Wojtek Wolski to a two-year contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
?We are very excited to sign Wojtek to a new contract,? said Maloney. ?He is a talented offensive player who performed extremely well for us last season down the stretch and led our team in goals during the playoffs. He will be a key contributor for the Coyotes going forward as he enters the prime of his career.?
Wolski, 24, established new career-highs last season in goals (23), assists (42), points (65), games played (80) while splitting the year between Colorado and Phoenix.
Bruins Sign Recchi To One-Year Extension
The Bruins have given a one-year contract extension to 42-year-old forward Mark Recchi, the NHL?s oldest active player under contract, according to an Associated Press report on Monday.
Recchi had 18 goals and 25 assists last season plus a team-leading six goals as well as four assists in 13 playoff games.
Sharks Sign Nichol, Wallin
The Sharks signed two more of their potential free agents Saturday before they hit the open market, agreeing to one-year deals with forward Scott Nichol and defenseman Niclas Wallin, according to an Associated Press report.
Recchi Signs One-Year Deal With Bruins
The Bruins are going to bring Mark Recchi back for another year.
Recchi, 42, agreed to a one-year deal worth $1 million base salary plus performance bonuses.
"Rex was a terrific player for us and helped our group leadership-wise and he's a Hall of Famer to be and he's going to help some of the young kids," general manager Peter Chiarelli said. "We're excited to have him back."

The Wild have signed right wing Brad Staubitz to a two-year, $1.15M contract, according to an Associated Press report.
The deal was done Tuesday, the day after the Wild acquired Staubitz from San Jose for a fifth-round pick in this weekend?s draft. Staubitz would have been a restricted free agent. He will make $550,000 this season and $600,000 next season.
Montreal Signs Plekanec To 6-Year, $30M Deal
The Canadiens signed leading scorer Tomas Plekanec of the Czech Republic to a six-year, $30M contract on Tuesday, according to an Associated Press report.
The center was eligible to become an unrestricted free agent on July 1.
Coyotes Re-Sign Pyatt To Two-Year Deal

Pyatt, 28, recorded 12-11-23 with 39 penalty minutes and a career-high +13 rating in 74 games with the Coyotes last season, his first with the team. He also collected 1-1-2 while playing in all seven of the Coyotes? postseason games last year.
Ducks Sign Chipchura To Extension
The Ducks announced today that the club has signed center Kyle Chipchura to a one-year contract extension through the 2010-11 season. Per club policy, no financial terms of the deal were disclosed.
Chipchura, 24, appeared in 74 games for Anaheim and Montreal last season, collecting 6-6=12 points with 72 penalty minutes. Acquired from the Canadiens in exchange for a fourth-round selection in the 2011 NHL Entry Draft on Dec. 2, 2009, Chipchura finished the season with career highs in goals, points, PIM, appearances, hits (63) and blocked shots (28).
Predators Sign Bouillon To Two-Year Deal
Predators President of Hockey Operations/GM David Poile announced today that the club has signed defenseman Francis Bouillon to a two-year contract worth $2.7M. The Montreal, Quebec native will make $1.2M in 2010-11 and $1.5M in 2011-12.
Bouillon, 34, played a career-high 81 games for the Predators in 2009-10, ranking second on the team ? and among the Top 20 NHL defensemen ? in hits (162), while tying for third on the Predators in penalty minutes (50). He also posted 11 points, while averaging 19:18 per game a season ago, and played in all six of Nashville?s 2010 Playoff games.
