Sidney Crosby could play for the Penguins on Monday night when they take on the Islanders in New York, according to the Associated Press.
Crosby has been on and off the ice since injuring his ankle badly in mid-January against Tampa Bay.
"I feel like I'm better off than I was the first time I came back," Crosby said. "It feels stronger."

Sidney Crosby did not play for the Penguins on Saturday night when they battled the division-rival Devils, according to ESPN.com.
New Jersey and Pittsburgh were deadlocked at the top of the Atlantic Division, but Crosby sat out with a lingering ankle injury.
Toronto's Colaiacovo Out With Groin Tear
The Toronto Maple Leafs announced on Thursday that Carlo Colaiacovo sustained a torn groin muscle during the first period of their win against the Islanders on March 18.
The approximate recovery time for the injury is four to six weeks.
In 28 games with the Maple Leafs in 2007-08, the defenseman has two goals and four assists to go along with 10 minutes in penalties.
