Brendan Shanahan said Tuesday that he expects the NHL's All-Star draft to return in 2012.
"I've talked to the players' association and a lot of players that played in it, and everybody enjoyed it," Shanahan told The Canadian Press. "I think we'll make some tweaks, but I don't think we'll make major changes."
Next year's All-Star Game will be hosted by the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Place.
Shanahan introduced the draft as a way to add excitement to All-Star Weekend. Eric Staal and Nicklas Lidstrom served as captains and selected their team from a pool of players.
