A consultant the Chicago Blackhawks hired to improve relationships with American Indian tribes has filed a lawsuit accusing the team, its charity foundation and its CEO of fraud, breach of contract and sexual harassment.

Nina Sanders filed the civil action late Tuesday in Cook County Circuit Court. She alleges in the lawsuit that the Blackhawks were facing intense public pressure to change their name and logo in 2020. The team's CEO, Danny Wirtz, hired her that year to serve as a tribal liaison.

Pittsburgh Penguins defensemen Kris Letang and John Ludvig and forward Matt Nieto are recovering from recent surgeries, the team announced Wednesday.

Letang, 37, faces an eight-week recovery timetable following an operation last Friday to repair a fractured finger on his left hand.

Dallas Stars winger Roope Hintz will not play in Wednesday's Game 5 against the Avalanche because of an upper-body injury.

Dallas leads the series 3-1 and can close it out.

From one former New York Rangers to a current one, Jacob Trouba was selected as the winner of the Mark Messier NHL Leadership Award, the league announced Tuesday.

The award winner is selected personally by Messier and presented since 2007 to a player who "exemplifies great leadership qualities to his team, on and off the ice, during the regular season and who plays a leading role in his community growing the game of hockey."

The Boston Bruins won't have captain Brad Marchand in the lineup while trying to avoid elimination in Game 5 of their second-round Stanley Cup playoff series against Florida on Tuesday.

"[Marchand] is not an option," Bruins' coach Jim Montgomery said after Boston's morning skate.

The decision to pull goaltender Stuart Skinner after the second period of a 4-3 loss Sunday to the Vancouver Canucks has left the Edmonton Oilers facing questions about their goaltending for a second straight postseason.

Skinner, who has started every game during these playoffs, was replaced by Calvin Pickard to begin the third period. Skinner was pulled after allowing four goals on 15 shots in a Game 3 that saw the Canucks take a 2-1 series lead in the Western Conference semifinals.

"Yes, we need more saves," Oilers coach Kris Knoblauch said. "Tonight, obviously, I felt like that with Picks going in the third period but defense along with goaltending is very important to winning hockey games. Especially in the long term. Yeah, it's got to be better."

Connor Bedard scored twice again and added an assist as Canada eased past Denmark 5-1 on Sunday for its second straight victory at the ice hockey world championship.

Dylan Cozens, Dawson Mercer and Pierre-Luc Dubois also scored for Canada, whose goaltender Jordan Binnington stopped 19 shots in the Group A game in Prague.

The Boston Bruins disagreed with the officials' decision on a failed coach's challenge for goalie interference, one that let the game-tying goal stand in their Game 4 loss to the Florida Panthers on Sunday night.

The Panthers, down 2-0 in the opening period, went on to win the game 3-2, scoring twice in the third to take a 3-1 series lead.

Bruins captain Brad Marchand is out for Game 4 of their series against the Florida Panthers on Sunday night, and his teammates are looking to avenge him.

"I think it pissed off everyone. I think that whole team kind of ticks everyone off, to be honest," said Bruins center Trent Frederic.
