The Wild recalled goalie Wade Dubielewicz from the minors as insurance behind Josh Harding before Thursday night?s game in Denver against the Avalanche. Dubielewicz has an 11-10 record for the AHL Houston Aeros. He has played in 40 career NHL games, including three last season for the Blue Jackets. The Wild also said right wing Petr Sykora has cleared unconditional waivers and is no longer under contract.

The Lightning have claimed center Nate Thompson off waivers from the Islanders on Thursday, Executive Vice President and GM Brian Lawton announced. ?We are extremely excited to bring Nate into the organization,? Lawton said. ?We really feel the team will benefit greatly from his tenacity, physicality and energy as well as his overall ability. We?re looking forward to seeing him contribute.? Thompson has played in 39 games with the Islanders this season, recording a goal and six points with 39 penalty minutes. He last played for New York on January 9 at Phoenix and has averaged 12:56 in ice time per game this season. Thompson has played in 86 career NHL games with the Islanders and Bruins, notching three goals and 10 points with 88 penalty minutes. Thompson has played in 216 career AHL games with the Providence Bruins. He has amassed 35 goals and 80 points during his AHL career. He served as alternate captain for Providence in 2007-08. Thompson has also played in 16 career Calder Cup Playoff games, recording two assists. Thompson was drafted by the Bruins in the sixth round, 183rd overall, of the 2003 NHL Entry Draft. He played junior hockey for the Seattle Thunderbirds of the WHL before making his professional debut with Providence in the 2005 Atlantic Division Finals.

The Stars placed right wing Jere Lehtinen on injured reserve Tuesday, retroactive to Jan. 16, with an upper body injury. Lehtinen was injured during the Stars' win over the Red Wings on Saturday, as reported by ESPN.com. The club recalled center Warren Peters from the Texas Stars, Dallas' primary AHL afflilate, to take Lehtinen's spot on the roster.

The Minnesota Wild have placed right wing Petr Sykora and rookie Robbie Earl on waivers on Tuesday. Earl can be returned to the minors or stay with the Wild if he clears, but Sykora's stint with Minnesota is all but over. Sykora turned down richer offers to play in Russia and signed a one-year, $1.6M deal with the Wild in September.
