Matt Gilroy hasn't played in a single minor league game, but has a chance to make it on the roster of the Rangers. Gilroy, a former walk-on at Boston University, has impressed New York's coaching staff while playing alongside Marc Staal. "He's one of the better-fit athletes we have here," coach John Tortorella told Newsday. "We've had some conversations along the way here. He did some things we want him to do. He was up the ice, he was creating offense."
