The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that the team has recalled defenseman Darcy Campbell from the Lake Erie Monsters of the American Hockey League. Campbell, 24, has skated in 53 games for the Monsters this season, tallying 11 points (4g/7a) with a +1 plus/minus rating and 51 penalty minutes. The Airdrie, Alberta native was acquired by the Avalanche from Columbus, along with Philippe Dupuis, in exchange for Mark Rycroft on Jan. 22, 2008. He has played one NHL game, making his debut for the Blue Jackets on March 30, 2007 at Chicago. In addition, the Avalanche has placed defenseman John-Michael Liles on the Injured Reserve list (retroactive to Feb. 15) due to a wrist injury.
