The night after Jeremy Roenick scored his 500th NHL goal, he watched as Mark Messier, Al MacInnis, Scott Stevens and Ron Francis were inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame. So, after becoming the 40th player -- and only third American -- to reach the 500-goal plateau, will Roenick one day reach hockey's cherished shrine? "It's very much hoped for," Roenick told reporters Tuesday during a conference call. "I watched all of them do their speeches -- it was amazingly exhilarating just watching. I'd be lying if I didn't say I didn't think about it and hope that one day it would happen to me." "It's one of the dreams I've had, and hopefully my career and my stats will speak for themselves and I'll be able to join those guys."
