The Ducks announced today that the club has acquired left wing Tomas Fleischmann from the Panthers in exchange for left wing Dany Heatley and Anaheim’s third-round selection in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft.

Fleischmann, 30, has scored 122-182=304 points with 164 penalty minutes (PIM) in 567 career NHL games with Washington (2005-11), Colorado (2010-11) and Florida (2011-15). Fleischmann has also appeared in 29 career Stanley Cup Playoff games with the Capitals and Panthers, collecting 4-4=8 points.  

Heatley, 34, was scoreless in six games with the Ducks this season. Signed by Anaheim as a free agent on July 9, 2014, Heatley also collected 2-5=7 points with eight PIM in 25 games with the Norfolk Admirals, Anaheim’s primary development affiliate in the AHL.
