David Nonis, Senior Vice President and GM of the Maple Leafs, announced Thursday that the club has acquired forward Nathan Horton from the  Blue Jackets in exchange for forward David Clarkson.

Horton, 29, has not skated this season due injury (back). He has appeared in a total of 627 career NHL regular season games between Columbus, Boston and Florida, registering 421 points (203 goals, 218 assists). Horton has also skated in 43 career NHL playoff games, collecting 36 points (15 goals, 21 assists) while winning a Stanley Cup with the Bruins in 2011.
