After more than two weeks without Oleg Tverdovsky, the Kings finally made it official.
The Kings placed Tverdovsky on injured reserve Wednesday, 16 days after the defenseman injured his groin in a 4-2 victory over the Sharks.

Frolov, Brind'Amour, Thomas Named "Three Stars" Of The Week
Kings left wing Alexander Frolov has been recognized for a league-leading week.
Frolov, Hurricanes center Rod Brind'Amour and Bruins goaltender Tim Thomas on Monday were named the NHL's "Three Stars" of the week.
A 24-year-old native of Moscow, Frolov was awarded the "First Star" after leading the league with eight points last week.
Kings Name Luc Robitaille To Executive Position
Luc Robitaille, the highest scoring left wing in NHL history, has been named Assistant to the Governor and Alternate Governor for the Kings, it was announced today by Kings Governor and CEO of AEG, Tim Leiweke.
?We are working to ingrain a history and tradition of winning into our franchise and throughout our organization and Luc will play a key role in that initiative,? said Leiweke. ?Luc has a great sense for business and his expertise and knowledge will continue to grow as he learns the business side of AEG and the Kings.?

Kostopoulos Offers $100 For Biggest Hit
Tom Kostopoulos offered a cash prize of $100 for the biggest hit in Saturday's game with the Minnesota Wild, and many were lining up to collect the dough.
Craig Conroy proclaimed himself the winner, after getting the better in a collision with 6-foot-7, 270-pound Derek Boogaard. Dustin Brown was in the running after several quality hits. Even Michael Cammalleri asked for consideration, though it was a short-lived campaign.
"I think Dustin had the quantity, but Craig had the quality," Kostopoulos said. "It'll go to Craig."
Kings Recall Clarke From Manchester
The Los Angeles Kings have recalled left wing Noah Clarke from the Manchester Monarchs of the American Hockey League, Kings President/General Manager Dean Lombardi announced today.
Clarke, 27, has played in three games with the Kings this season and has zero points and zero penalty minutes. In nine games this season with Manchester, he has nine points (5-4=9), four power play goals and zero penalty minutes. A 5-9, 185-pound native of La Verne, California, Clarke has one point (0-1=1) and zero penalty minutes in 10 career NHL games ? all with the Kings. He was originally selected by the Kings in the ninth-round (250th overall) of the 1999 NHL Entry Draft.
Kings Claim Marty Murray
The Los Angeles Kings claimed center Marty Murray off waivers from Philadelphia on Saturday and placed defenseman Brent Sopel on the injured reserve list retroactive to Nov. 4.
The 31-year-old Murray had 15 points (2-13) and four penalty minutes in 11 games this season with the Philadelphia Phantoms, the Flyers' American Hockey League affiliate.
The 5-foot-9, 180-pound center has 71 points (31-40) and 37 penalty minutes in 242 career NHL regular-season games with the Flyers, Carolina and Calgary. He was selected by Calgary in the fourth round of the 1993 NHL draft.
Conroy Getting Sick Of Trade Rumors
Craig Conroy has attempted to stay upbeat despite a daily offering of rumors that have him being discussed in trades, but it has began to wear thin.
All that trade chatter, and more, has made the Internet rounds, fueled by reports, mostly in Canadian media outlets, that he is about to be shipped out.
"I have been through this before, but this seems different," said Conroy, 36. "It seems more intense. Every day I'm hearing that I'm going somewhere else. It was worse when it all started, but now I'm just not dealing with it anymore. I've started leaving my mailbox full on my cellphone."
Malkin First Player In 89 Years With Goals In First Six Games
Evgeni Malkin scored a power-play goal in overtime to lift the Penguins to a 4-3 victory over the Kings on Wednesday night.
Malkin fired in a slap shot from the slot 2:45 into overtime to give the Penguins their fifth straight win. The winner came with the Kings' Mattias Norstrom in the penalty box for tripping.
Malkin also scored in the first period, beating Dan Cloutier with a wrist shot, to become the first NHL player in 89 years with goals in his first six games. The 20-year-old Russian matched the mark shared by Joe Malone, Newsy Lalonde and Cy Denneny, who each scored in their first six games during the NHL's inaugural season in 1917-18.
