The Flyers have recalled goalie Michael Leighton from their AHL affiliate, the Adirondack Phantoms, according to an ESPN.com report. Leighton was called up after he cleared waivers Wednesday. Leighton gives the Flyers three goalies. He'll back up Sergei Bobrovsky and Brian Boucher.

The Flyers put goalie Michael Leighton on re-entry waivers Tuesday with the purpose of recalling him to the NHL roster. Leighton was in goal as the Flyers made it to the Stanley Cup finals last spring. He's played most of the season in the AHL this year after recovering from back surgery. He will be used for depth in the postseason.
