The Kings have claimed defenseman Randy Jones off of re-entry waivers, Kings President/GM Dean Lombardi announced today. The Kings have also placed defenseman Alec Martinez on the injured reserve list due to an ankle injury.
Jones has played in six games this season with Adirondack of the AHL, recording one point and six penalty minutes.
Last season, Jones played in 47 games with the Flyers, recording eight points and 22 penalty minutes.
Martinez, has played in one game with the Kings this season, his first in the NHL.

Lightning Claim Radek Smolenak Off Waivers

The Tampa Bay Lightning have claimed left wing Radek Smolenak off waivers from the Chicago Blackhawks Saturday, Executive Vice President and General Manager Brian Lawton announced.
He was claimed by Chicago from Tampa Bay on September 25, 2009 and played in one game with the Blackhawks, recording five penalty minutes.
Smolenak, 22, recorded two penalty minutes in two preseason games this year with Tampa Bay after making his National Hockey League debut with the club in 2008-09, posting one assist and 10 penalty minutes in six contests.
Penguins Claim Bourque On Waivers

Forward Chris Bourque has been claimed on waivers by the Penguins, according to an Associated Press report.
Bourque had 21 goals and 52 assists in 69 games with the Capitals? Hershey (AHL) farm club and one goal in eight games with Washington last season.
