The Colorado Avalanche Hockey Club announced today that it has placed defenseman Jeff Jillson of the Lake Erie Monsters (AHL) on re-entry waivers.
Jillson, 27, ranks second among Lake Erie defensemen in scoring this season with 20 points (3g/17a) in 53 games. He was recalled by the Avalanche earlier this year on Oct. 26 but did not see any action before being reassigned on Nov. 20.
A native of North Smithfield, Rhode Island, Jillson has appeared in 140 career games in the NHL, tallying nine goals and 32 assists for 41 points. He signed with Colorado as a free agent on July 17, 2007.
