The Blue Jackets have activated center Derick Brassard off injured reserve, Columbus executive vice president and general manager Scott Howson announced Wednesday. Brassard, who was injured against Los Angeles on February 18, has missed the last eight games. He has tallied 14 goals and 25 assists for 39 points with 47 penalty minutes in 57 games this season, setting career highs in goals and points. Brassard is tied for second on the club in game-winning goals (3), while ranking third in power play goals (5) and fourth in goals, assists and points. Columbus' first pick, sixth overall, in the 2006 Entry Draft has registered 34-68-102 and 118 penalty minutes in 184 career NHL games.
