Devils center David Steckel remains remorseful and apologetic about his unintentional hit on Sidney Crosby that contributed to the Penguins center missing extended time with concussions symptoms. Steckel was with the Capitals when he delivered the hit on Crosby. Crosby hasn't played since a Jan. 5 game when he was hit headfirst into the boards by Tampa Bay defenseman Victor Hedman. He also had absorbed a blindside hit to the head from Steckel during the Jan. 1 Winter Classic.
