Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley and San Jose Mayor Chuck Reed are putting a number of items on the line as the Blackhawks and Sharks do battle in the Western Conference Finals. "The excitement over the Blackhawks has been great for the city of Chicago," Daley said at a City Hall news conference Friday. "Their success has brought new fans to the game of hockey, and has inspired Chicagoans who aren't at the United Center to head out to neighborhood bars and restaurants to watch the games to cheer them on," Daley added. The two mayors are putting a number of food items on the line. Daley is in the process of collecting on his bet with Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson on a variety of Canadian specialties. Any food Chicago wins in these wagers will be donated to the Chicago Food Depository.
