The Blackhawks signed goaltender Brian Boucher to a one-year deal Saturday. Chicago invited Boucher to training camp as a tryout after learning that off-season acquisition Patrick Lalime would miss 2-3 months with a herniated disc in his back. Boucher has made one preseason start, earning a shutout in the exhibition opener against St. Louis on Sept. 19. He stopped 26 shots in the 2-0 Blackhawk win. Boucher split time with Calgary and Phoenix last season. In 2003 with the Coyotes, Boucher set the record for the longest shutout streak by a goalie in NHL history (332 minutes, 5 1/2 games).
