Canucks director of player development Dave Gagner believes that top forward prospect Cody Hodgson is ready for the NHL. Hodgson starred for Canada's gold medal winning team at the world junior championships and won the Ontario Hockey League's most outstanding player award during the 2008-09 season. "Oh yeah, he's ready to make the NHL," said Gagner, according to the Vancouver Sun. "I'm pretty confident he'll be able to do that." Hodgson was the first pick of the Canucks in the 2008 NHL Draft. "I feel I've done everything I could in junior and I think I'm ready for the next step," Hodgson said. "I'm going to do whatever I can to make that an easy decision for the coaches and management. Any line would be fine. Anywhere I play, I'd take it."
