Rick DiPietro and Ted Nolan got off to rough starts Friday night in the New York Islanders' first exhibition game of the season. DiPietro allowed three goals on 14 shots in 33 minutes in his first game since signing a $67.5 million, 15-year contract, while Nolan was behind the bench in the NHL for the first time in nine years as the Islanders fell 5-1 to the Boston Bruins. "This game doesn't count. The big game is Oct. 5 when the season starts," DiPietro said. "We just have to make sure we're ready for that night."
