The Columbus Blue Jackets have activated left wing Jason Chimera off injured reserve, club General Manager Scott Howson announced today. Chimera, 29, who underwent surgery on March 4 to repair a groin injury, has missed the past 16 games. He has appeared in 44 games with the Blue Jackets this season and tallied eight goals and 13 assists for 21 points with 35 penalty minutes and a +9 plus/minus rating. He has missed 33 games due to injury in 2008-09 after missing just one game in the previous three campaigns. Chimera has registered 73-81-154 and 412 penalty minutes in 417 career games with Columbus and Edmonton.
